Scholar Bus Tickets

School Tickets

Getting your child to school should be the easy part of the day.

Whether they ride with us once in a while or every single morning, we've made paying for the home-to-school journey as simple as possible. There are four ways to buy — pick whichever suits your family — and every option is valid on all of our lettered school services.

Four ways to pay

1. Buy on the bus

Hop on and pay as you go. You can pay by cash or card — but card payments are significantly cheaper, so it pays to tap rather than reach for the coins.

2. Pay by card with Tap & Cap

Pay by card and let Tap & Cap do the maths for you. Just tap the same card every day and you'll never pay more than the weekly cap — no need to work anything out, no need to buy ahead. For example, single journeys at £4 each are automatically capped at just £38 a week.

3. Use Tap & Cap across the half-term

Tap & Cap doesn't stop at the weekly cap. Keep tapping that same card throughout each half-term and your total is capped at the termly ticket price — so you get the value of a season ticket without ever having to buy one upfront. Just remember to use the same card for every journey.

4. Buy a mobile ticket on the app

Prefer to sort it in advance? Buy a half-termly or annual school ticket straight from our app — bought once, ready on the phone, sorted for the term or the whole year ahead.

Easy to buy. Easy to use. Easy to travel. However you choose to pay, your ticket is valid across all our lettered school services.

Save up to 50% with a KCC Travel Saver

You can also travel with a KCC Travel Saver — a bus pass from Kent County Council that can save parents and pupils up to 50% on the cost of getting to and from school. It's well worth checking whether your child qualifies.
