Go2 covering Sevenoaks Area

Go2 is our demand-responsive bus service for the Sevenoaks area. There's no fixed timetable: you book a bus when you need one, hop on at your nearest stop, and we'll get you where you're going. It works a little like a shared taxi, at bus-friendly prices.

How Go2 works

• You choose the time. Open the Crossbus / Go2 app, tell it where you're going and when, and you'll be offered the journeys we can run.
• Journeys are shared. You may travel with other passengers heading the same way, so your route isn't always direct — but the app always shows a live estimated time of arrival, so you know exactly when your bus will reach you.
• Stop to stop, not door to door. The app directs you to your nearest bus stop for pick-up and to the closest stop to your destination — usually only a short walk away.

Where Go2 runs

Go2 covers the core Sevenoaks area — roughly a five-mile radius around the town centre. You can travel between any stops within the zone, including the town centre, the railway stations and the hospital. See the coverage map for the full area.

When you can travel

We'll usually pick you up within about half an hour of booking.

The app is always available and you can call the office to book your journey on Monday to Friday between 0900 and 1700.  Journeys outside phone-booking hours must be booked through the app. 

Prefer to book by phone? Call us during phone-booking hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00) and we'll arrange your trip.

How to pay

Pay whichever way suits you:

• Cash – pay the driver on board.
• Card – contactless on board, or link a card to your account in-app and the fare is taken automatically at the end of each ride.
• Account credit – top up in the app and your fares come off your balance.

Fares — a summary

Go2 isn't a flat bus fare. Because each trip is booked just for you and shared only where journeys overlap, fares work more like a shared taxi:

• Distance-based – the further you travel, the higher the fare.
• Time of day matters – fares are higher during the busy morning and afternoon peaks and lower off-peak.
• Bring a friend – an additional "plus-one" passenger travelling with you pays a flat £1.20
• Children – children aged 4 and under travel free with a paying adult; child fares apply for ages 5–18.

The go2 pass — £40

Travel regularly? The go2 pass costs £40 and covers:

• Up to 10 Go2 shared rides, valid for 7 days (whichever comes first), and
• Free travel on all timetabled Sevenoaks bus routes (and the 429 to Dartford) for that week.

You can always pay as you go by cash or card instead — the pass is simply better value if you ride often.

Got a concessionary pass?

If you hold an English National Concessionary Travel Pass, you can get 50% off off-peak Go2 fares. Please call us to register your pass before you travel.

How to use the app

1. Download the Crossbus / Go2 app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Sign up (or log in if you already have an account).
3. Add your personal and payment details. (Select Cash to pay with Cash or Card on the Bus or register your card)
4. Got a concessionary pass? Call us on 01732 469800 to register it.
5. Enter your pick-up address — you can save favourites.
6. Enter your destination — again, you can save favourites.
7. Choose the ride proposal that suits you best. You may be sharing with other passengers.
8. Check your driver's name and registration plate, and track your bus arriving in real time.
9. Walk the short distance to your stop if needed — in most cases the bus comes to you.
10. On the bus! Show your concessionary pass to the driver, or pay by cash, card or contactless — then sit back and enjoy the ride.
