Children travel free in August

This summer, days out just got easier. From Saturday 1 August to Sunday 31 August 2026, children aged 15 and under travel free on all GoBus services across North and West Kent.

The offer is funded by the UK Government as part of its Great British Summer of Savings campaign, which is making bus travel free for children right across England for the whole of August. Whether you're heading to the coast, off to the park, into town for the shops, or visiting family, it's a chance to get out and about together for a little less over the school holidays.

How it works:

• Free travel applies to children aged 15 and under.
• It runs every day from 1 to 31 August 2026 inclusive.
• There's nothing to book and no voucher needed — just board as usual and our driver will issue a free ticket for each child.

• Normal child fares return on Monday 1 September.
