Route 1 and 401 to serve Chartwell

During weekends in August and September this year, GoBus will be extensing routes 1 and 401 to serve Chartwell.  Funded by Kent County Council, the changes run for nine weeks from the first weekend of August through to the last weekend of September, giving everyone a fresh reason to hop on board.

The improvements are:

Saturdays — Route 1 (Sevenoaks - Westerham) extended to Chartwell. The Saturday service will be extended from Westerham through to Chartwell across the same nine-week period, connecting the two towns for shoppers, walkers and visitors alike.

Sundays — Route 401 extended to Chartwell. For nine weeks only, the Sunday 401 will run through to Chartwell, opening up a relaxing, car-free route to one of the area's best-loved days out.

In addiiton on Saturdays we are introducing a trial for more frequent buses on Route 6. A nine-week trial will see Route 6 between Kemsing and Sevenoaks run hourly through the day on Saturdays, making it far easier to plan a trip into town and back.

please give these services change a try. Whether it's a Saturday into Sevenoaks, a shopping trip between Westerham and Chartwell, or a Sunday day out, the bus takes the stress out of the journey. We're grateful to Kent County Council for backing these improvements, and because they only run for nine weeks, we'd encourage everyone to make the most of them while they're here. Every journey helps show there's demand to keep services like these running.
